Our Task
The Greenway Collaborative was retained by MDOT to assisted in the creation of the bicycle facilities map for the Metro Region. The Map provides information for bicyclists to make an informed choice when selecting bicycle routes throughout the region. The map also includes information on available resources and bicycle safety.
In 2000, The Greenway Collaborative developed a Bicycle Facilities Map Prototype for MDOT, which lead to the creation of this map. In 2018, The Greenway Collaborative was retained to update the map with the new Metro Region, which includes the counties of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb.
