Riverside Park Master Plan
The Master Plan for Riverside Park completely redefines the western portion of the park. One of the goals of the project was to design the park such that it works well for both everyday users and the larger weekend and holiday crowds.

Our Task
The project looked at how to minimize conflict points between automobiles, train, bicycles and pedestrians as well as provide a more appropriate entrance to the park. The road and path system were laid out to maximize views of the Detroit river and provide good police surveillance of the waterfront. The proposed improvements also provided areas for fishing, lookouts points, a pedestrian promenade and a separated pathway for bicycles.
