Trails & Regional Planning Momentum

• TGC is continuing work with local communities to close key gaps along the Bridge to Bay Trail in St. Clair County, moving this signature trail closer to full connectivity.
• Our team is excited to be part of the Tri-County Trails project, advancing regional trail coordination and long-term connectivity.
• TGC is advancing the Shoreline Trail in Mason County by evaluating and prioritizing trail segments, coordinating with state and local partners, and supporting implementation and future grant readiness.
• The West Michigan Regional Trails Master Plan, spanning 18 counties, is now complete, setting a bold vision for the future of trails across the region.
• TGC helped shape the future of the Metroparks by identifying preferred routes to Huron-Clinton Metroparks Regional Trail Study, laying the groundwork for future regional trail connections across Southeast Michigan, and also contributed to the Metropark to State Park Pathway Connector Study.

Active Mobility & Local Wins

• The Warren Active Mobility Plan is wrapping up, building on extensive community input to support safer, more connected travel options.
• The Greenway Collaborative continues to work with the City of Springboro to implement the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan
• Novi’s Active Mobility Plan was adopted March 18, 2024.
• Northville’s Non-motorized Plan was adopted October 2, 2023.
