Bridge to Bay Guide and Identification Sign Alternatives

The Bridge to Bay Trail is a multi-jurisdictional trail that spans from one end of St. Clair County to the other.  It takes many forms, including rail-trail, paved shoulder, shared roadway and sidepaths. While the trail is nearly complete there are still a few gaps in the system along with areas where the trail splits in two, offering different options for getting from point A to point B. The result is that navigating the trail can be difficult with so many options and gaps in the system.

TGC also developed the Bridge to Bay Trail Identification, Wayfinding and Safety Improvement Plan in 2021.

The Greenway Collaborative developed a signage system that provides a level of uniformity to the identification, wayfinding and safety signage for the trail.  The alternatives provided should help improve trail user experience along with raising community awareness of the trail.

The Greenway Collaborative is oversaw the implementation of the signage system between Marine City and St Clair. Completion in 2014.
