City of Springboro 2013 Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan

The City of Springboro is located between Dayton and Cincinnati and is a fast growing community that is recognized for its excellent school system, parks and historic districts.  The city has been active in becoming a more walkable and bikable community with numerous plans and initiatives. The Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan will build on these plans, resulting in a dramatic improvement in bicycle and pedestrian mobility throughout the City.

The Greenway Collaborative also assisted in the 2019 Update of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.

The plan establishes a long-range vision for the development of bicycle and pedestrian transportation systems within the community as well as connections to adjoining communities and regional trails.  The plan was completed using a process that involves pubic participation evaluation of the existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, and examination of past bicycle and pedestrian planning efforts.

The City of Springboro has immediately begun implementing the plan, incorporating the recommendations in major road reconstructions projects, as well as wayfinding and bicycle support facilities in new community centers.

The Greenway Collaborative also created the Biking in the Boro Map and Pocket Guide and Biking in the Boro – Phase 1 Bicycle Wayfinding.
