TIGER Grant Application for the Greater Mt Pleasant Cultural Loop
The Greater Mt Pleasant Area Cultural Loop will provide for safe and convenient pedestrian and bicycle travel between the key destinations within the City of Mt. Pleasant, the Charter Township of Union, Chippewa Township, the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, Mid Michigan Community College and Central Michigan University. The Cultural Loop address the most significant impediment to non-motorized travel in the areas, US-127, by providing new freeway crossing opportunities for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Our Task
The Greenway Collaborative assisted Union Township in preparing and submitting for a TIGER III and IV Discretionary Grant. Grant preparation included a cost benefit analysis, cost estimates and project narrative.
The Greenway Collaborative also assisted the Township in the development of the Greater Mt Pleasant Area Non-motorized Master Plan.
